Needs Assessment

 From February 10th to March 24th, 2015, our team conducted an in-depth needs assessment, interviewing and surveying  different stakeholders to identify their interests as well as challenges they face. Through this process we hoped to support the teachers by designing a curriculum that will satisfy not only standards and address the lack of excess time, but that will benefit their students in both the short and long term.

 

For this needs assessment report (click below for full document) we first introduce the project and our rationale for choosing it, then we discuss our findings from our three key stakeholder groups: the parents, teachers, and students. To conclude we discuss the implications of our results and explain how they framed our curriculum design.
